The head of pricing in each asset class has a minimum of 15 years of directly relevant experience which has allowed us to develop pricing services that meet all of our customers’ requirements in today’s highly regulated markets.
As CEO, Nigel has responsibility for the strategic and commercial direction of Skylight IPV. He also lends support to the Product Team and heads the Price Review Committee.
Nigel has spent nearly 30 years working in the financial sector, initially as a software consultant and designer, then as a front office interest rate and precious metals trader.
For the last 15 years he has been at the forefront of the consensus valuations industry developing products and leading businesses. Nigel holds a Degree in Physics from Loughborough University and an MA in Finance from London Business School.
Tim started his career in 1986 with Wedd Durlacher as a market maker in equities and then traded options on the Stock Exchange floor. Following this he set up trading operations for BZW in Frankfurt before returning to the UK to trade OTC derivatives.
Tim established, and was responsible for, the risk management and product control teams for all of BZW's Equities division. Seeing a significant need for better pricing information, Tim founded Totem Market Valuations in 1997. The service quickly became the global pricing benchmark for all OTC derivatives markets.
For the last 10 years Tim has worked as a non-executive director, adviser and serial investor in carefully selected technology based companies in a wide range of industries.
David is responsible for information security and the design and monitoring of our operational controls. He also provides support on derivative pricing and risk management methodology.
David worked in academic research and teaching for 10 years before moving into financial services, where he now has 20 years of experience in derivatives, risk management and the operation of outsourced pricing services.
David holds an MA in Physics from Cambridge University and PhD in Geophysics from the California Institute of Technology.
Adam has over 20 years' experience in equity derivatives trading and valuation. He started his City career in 1998 with a prominent market making firm, working in London and Chicago. Adam was a market maker in listed equity options before working in a hedge fund, trading volatility arbitrage strategies.
Prior to joining Skylight IPV, Adam enjoyed 12 years at a leading data provider providing valuation services for vanilla and exotic OTC equity derivative products.
Adam has a degree in Sports Science from Brunel University and holds the IMC qualification.
Richard has more than 17 years' experience working in the energy markets. He started his career in audit at one of the big four accounting firms before moving into product control for a major international investment bank, a role he held for 3 years.
Richard has spent the last 14 years designing and building commodity valuation services becoming one of the industry’s most experienced IPV specialists.
Richard holds an Honours Degree in Chemistry from Reading University.
Richard has more than 20 years’ experience in a variety of technology and interest rate derivative roles. Richard started as a consultant in the support and development of trading systems, before moving into financial software consultancy.
Richard spent 9 years heading up the provision of valuations across a wide range of Interest Rates products at a leading data vendor.
Richard holds an Honours Degree in Maths from Portsmouth Polytechnic and a PhD in Mathematical Modelling from the University of Bath.
James has more than 15 years’ experience in providing valuations on FX options. He spent three years working as a business analyst with a major global bank prior to joining a leading provider of consensus pricing data in 2002.
James spent the next fourteen years in the development and provision of a wide range of FX derivatives.
James graduated from Brunel University with an Honours Degree in Natural Sciences and is a holder of the PRM (Professional Risk Manager) certification.
Raph is responsible for providing the technological resources and infrastructure to allow Skylight IPV to work with efficiency. Raph provides additional support to the Product and Development teams.
Raph has more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa before moving to the UK to take up a role in product control covering FX options at a major bank. Whilst studying for his Master’s degree, Raph took up a position with a major provider of consensus valuations, a position he worked in for the next nine years.
Raph has a degree in Business Studies from University of Cape Town, an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Cass Business School.
Lee is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Skylight IPV’s business. Lee provides additional support to the product team with his work on modelling and development of analytical algorithms.
Lee has spent 15 years working across the technology and financial industry. He began his career working with one of the UK’s leading software houses and after four years moved to a development role at a market leading data vendor. He spent the next ten years working in a variety of roles including the provision of equity derivative valuations and as Head of XVA.
Lee holds a Degree in Mathematics & Computing from the University of Bath and is a holder of the PRM (Professional Risk Manager) certification.
Ashley is responsible for leading the design and implementation of all software at Skylight IPV.
He has over a decade of experience working in software development within the financial services industry, with a special focus on derivative pricing and distributed computing. He is also a keen advocate of open-source software, and has made contributions to several notable projects including the Play web framework, and the Scala build tool.
Ashley holds a Master's degree in Physics from King's College London.
